Windows 11 ISO Downloads

Please Read!

To log in successfully, you might need to open this page using Firefox (on a computer). Here’s the link to download the browser’s installer, or you can Google “Firefox download” and get it on your own.

To ensure download speeds and bandwidth management and keep the server secure from the onslaught of hacking attempts, the server will be down for maintenance once a week between 8 a.m. Saturday until 7 a.m. Sunday (Pacific Time). Please pick your download time accordingly.

The connection might take a few seconds to be established. After that:

  1. Log in using the following credentials:
    • Username: DKT-User
    • Password: DongKnowsTech!
    • Note: If you see the perpetual spinning wheel (longer than a few seconds), you need to switch to the Firefox browser to log in successfully, as mentioned above. Do that first before thinking the password doesn’t work or any other negative thoughts.
  2. Click on the File Station icon. (If you don’t see it, open the Main Menu by clicking on the button at the top left corner, then hit File Station.) Then, Right-click on the file you want to download and choose “Download”. Keep this page open during the download, or it might fail. Before thinking negative thoughts, make sure you:
  3. Note: If your download estimate time is longer than a few hours, cancel it, log out, and try again later.

I can’t see the File Station Icon and I can’t see the button at the top left corner either, what’s wrong, what can I do?

    • It’s there Paul. The button is at the top left corner of the logged in area. It shapes like four little squares stacked on top of one another.

      • It’s OK, I hovered over what looked like a “screen” image and it all became clear. I initially thought that “top left corner” referred to the page rather than the image which is not exactly labelled as the “logged in area”, or anything for that matter, it’s just a little confusing.

  2. Please comment how your iso is different than flyby11 which I have tried 7 times and it fails. It uses the Windows Server approach and professes great success but does not promise it. I have an older HP 2000 laptop original WIN 7. Now WIN 10 and it runs fine.

    Thanks

  3. So awesome thanks, what does this mean for windows updates please?
Does it need to stay off in case MS put in a blocker for hardware?

  5. Could you explain the difference between the two ISO’s: Win11_23H2_English_All_Hardware and

    Windows_23H2_En_Intel_Mac

    Which should I download?

  6. Been trying to download this for a week now. So slow the downloads take 24hr + and invariably get broken before completion. I give up.

    • Yeap, as mentioned, if the estimate time is longer than a few hours, it’s best to log out and wait. There are over 50 folks trying to download concurrently.

  7. Hi Dong!

I just wanted to say that I downloaded the 24H2 file overnight and it WORKED! It was so slow… but I understand…. too many downloads. Thank you! My old Dell is now better than ever and most importantly I know I can keep using it. Windows 11 looks nice and I like the middle menu…. Thanks again for what you’re doing! Just so you know you’re appreciated.

  8. thanks Dong for your work on this. I was hoping to save my family a few quid by not having to replace our old PCs and laptops. however… I’m also getting the spinning wheel of blue.
I first tried with my version of FF -fail, I then installed a fresh copy of ff via the installer from your link at top of page – still just getting the spinning wheel of blue.
I copied and pasted the user/pwd to ensure no mistakes, I also tried typing them. Fail.
Ive been tryng for a few hours now, is there any chance this could be due to too many concurrent users?
    cheers

    • The login should work fine, Michael, espeically if you use Firefox. The number of concurrrent users won’t affect the login since that process has its own reserved bandwidth. Try reseting your browser or use a private/icognito window.

  10. ISO download failed after three hours, was downloading fine then just showed failed??
Any idea other than pay for a faster download??

    • Generally that means there was an interruption in your connection, like a router or modem restart. If the estimated time is longer than a few hours you should log out and wait.

  11. THANK YOU Mr. Ngo,

I DLed the 22H Win-11 iso file while literally memorizing your instructions. Average from the free server was between 400/k and 950k/s. And, BTW login went perfectly with cut & paste. Those who complain just can’t read.
First, I cloned my c: drive to ensure all went well. I opened the iso file with explorer, and as instructed, ran the setup file. I DID NOT allow updates during the install and all went smoothly. After a few reboots, everything came back perfectly. No missing programs or issues.
Those began after I allowed updates to run and install. NOTHING to do with your file, it’s typical Microsoft c*ap, do it our way – or don’t do it at all.
Your kindness and time spent “CORRECTING” a Microsoft money grab with the nonsensical hardware requirements is GREATLY APPRECIATED by this 72 year old ex-mainframe computer geek.

(My TPM Specification version is 1.2 and Secure boot is not enabled on my pc)

    • That means you didn’t enter them correctly, John. The password is case sensitive and has to be 100% correct. Pay a bit attention and you’ll know what you missed, or just copy and paste (make sure you don’t include any extra space). In all seriousness, if you can’t enter the provided username and password successfully, maybe getting a new computer with Windows 11 already installed is a better route. Good luck!

  14. I just wanted to confirm that the ISOs all worked as intended, as long as you opt not to get the updates during the setup process.

I initially downloaded the Windows 22H2 here, and it took me over 3 hours. After that, I elected to be a Ko-fi supporter and downloaded the rest in less than 10 minutes. So worth it!

You can also upgrade from one release to a newer one. I’ve upgraded from 22H2 to 23H2 and then to 24H2 with no issue. And you can upgrade to any of them from Windows 10. Pretty neat!

    Thank you, Dong!

  15. Dong, first things first: thank you so much for making the Win 11 ISOs available! Thought I would share my experience with the free downloads (and I fully understand and appreciate that those who use the free download link are sharing download bandwidth with everyone else on that link). I started several days ago with trying the 23H2 download. It failed every time part way through the download, after downloading for quite a few hours at around 110KB/sec (yest more evidence of the shared link syndrome). Not sure why this attempt failed several times. Then I switched to the 22H2 ISO, and the same thing happened (mid-download failure), although the download speeds were higher, around 250-300KB/sec. This morning, I switched yet again, to the 21H2 ISO, hoping that the marginally smaller file size would make a difference. FWIW, this download completed, and at faster download speeds. Success at last! Anyway, THANKS AGAIN, for this download and all your great reviews and info.

    • Thanks for letting me know, Steve. It’s hard to manage it considering the number of folks who want to download… Again, it’s a dedicated cable connection with almost 50Mbps of upload speed with 500Kbps reserved for the login process, so it’s fast enough to upload 6GB in less than 30 minutes. If you see your download estimate to be longer than a few hours, I’d recommend logging out and wait for a bit… There’s no rush since you can still use Windows 10 until late 2025.

I’m not sure why your download didn’t finish but many things can happen in that long period of time including the fact the ISP might change the WAN IP of the connection, which causes a brief disconnection, etc.

    • The tap is open, Giacomo. As mentioned, it has limited bandwidthβ€”it’s hosted by a dedicated Cable connection. It’s fast enough for you to download one ISO in less than 20 minute if you’re the only one person downloading it, but the more concurrent downloads the slower it gets.

Generally it works best with Firefox.
