Are you looking to extend Wi-Fi into a large backyard to deliver an ultra-fast internet connection? EnGenius has something for you. The networking vendor announced today an all-new outdoor access point (AP), the EWS850AP.
Update: The EWS850AP is now available.
Wi-Fi 6 with PoE
The new weatherproof access point uses the Qualcomm Networking Pro 400 Wi-Fi 6 platform to deliver up to 1754Mbps of Wi-Fi bandwidth on both 2.4GHz and 5GHz frequency bands.
It’s a dual-stream (2×2) broadcaster supports 80MHz or narrower channels. The AP features the common attributes of Wi-Fi 6, including downlink and uplink MU-MIMO and OFDMA, as well as target wake time (TWT).
For power, the EWS850AP uses power over Ethernet (PoE) and supports 802.3at and 802.3af PoE standards.
