UGREEN, a popular Chinese maker of accessories and, in recent years, network-attached storage (NAS) servers, today announced a significant expansion of its hardware portfolio.
In a launch event dubbed “UGREEN Smart Living”, the company unveiled its all-new HomeAgent ecosystem that includes a variety of smart home products, ranging from security cameras to smart speakers, smart photo frames, and more, all controlled by a central hub.
Additionally, it announced a new wireless charger in its MagFlow series that, for the first time, includes a liquid-cooled power bank.
UGREEN HomeAgent: A smart home ecosystem powered by local AI
If you’re a fan of NAS servers, you’ve probably heard of UGREEN’s NASync iDX6011 Pro. If not, it’s the very first network-attached storage server with enough power to host a local AI chatbot—and that actually works. That novelty is now expanded to the company’s new HomeAgent ecosystem, to an extent.
According to UGREEN, the HomeAgent ecosystem includes a base unit that functions as a smart home hub, controlling multiple smart devices. That idea itself is not new, but each UGREEN HomeAgent hub supposedly comes with an agentic local AI assistant, called Uliya, designed to “activate household data, provide proactive assistance, and keep users in control through a trusted local-first architecture”.
For this reason, the company calls its hardware AIoT, presumably short for “Artificial Intelligent Internet of Things”.
The point is that UGREEN HomeAgent promises to handle smart tasks and data locally, without connecting to the cloud, to conserve energy and bandwidth and protect users’ privacy. And that, if true, is definitely significant.
At launch, for the hubs, UGREEN unveiled the HomeAgent HA100 series, which includes the HA100 as the base model, the more powerful HA100 Pro, and the MasterAgent MA100 as the ultimate option.
HomeAgent HA100 series: UGREEN’s AIoT smart local hubs
According to UGREEN, all of these hubs in the HomeAgent HA100 series are designed to combine “on-device intelligence with storage, security, and device control” into a single hardware unit.
Specifically, the HomeAgent H100 base model unit, the lowest-cost option, includes a Gigabit LAN port for connecting to an existing network and four PoE ports for powering devices. It appears to include internal storage for data, like a NAS server. Additionally, it can provide proactive support, identify and keep photos and recordings of “meaningful moments”, all the while giving users control over their data.
Per UGREEN, the highlights of the HomeAgent H100 hub, common in the series, include:
- Voice control: Users can ask the Uliya AI assistant to control supported devices, check live status or event history, and create voice notifications for events such as a package arriving or a baby crying.
- Keep it local: Files, photos, surveillance footage, and device activity can be stored locally and processed on HomeAgent with no monthly storage fee. Core storage, security, file management, and smart-home functions can operate on the local network.
- AI highlights: HomeAgent proactively captures meaningful moments from live footage, identifies highlights in your photo library, automatically creates highlight videos, and displays them for you on UGREEN Gallery LCD Smart Frames.
- Proactive home care: The local AI agent can recognize people, vehicles, pets, and packages, surfaces alerts for unusual activity, summarizes events, and enables keyword search across recorded footage.
- Whole-home control: Supporting the popular Matter low-power wireless protocol, UGREEN’s HomeAgent can control many third-party smart home devices. Users can create custom automation scenes and coordinate multiple devices across the home with a single voice request.
After that, UGREEN says its HomeAgent HA100 Pro model offers faster network performance with a 10GbE LAN port and more powerful AI performance for demanding AI workloads, including deeper semantic understanding, voice-based rule creation, context-aware device control, and advanced recognition.
And finally, the MasterAgent MA100 model pushes local AI performance to the max.
UGREEN says the MA100 is the first agentic AI local hub, powered by the NVIDIA Jetson Thor T5000 platform, to serve as the central intelligence for an increasingly AI-enabled home. It can deliver up to 2,070 FP4 TFLOPS of local computing power to run larger, more capable models, understand richer context and intent, and coordinate multiple devices and tasks.
To accompany the HomeAgent HA100 series, the company included with this launch a UGREEN Uliya-enabled smart speaker, a UGREEN Gallery photo frame, and a trio of smart surveillance cameras, including:
- UGREEN SynCare Indoor Cam ID500 Pro: A compact Wi-Fi camera for indoor use.
- UGREEN SynCare PoE Cam OD600 Pro: A rugged PoE outdoor camera.
- UGREEN SynCare Battery Cam OD800 Pro: An outdoor solar-powered battery-operated Wi-Fi camera for ease of placement.
Again, all of these devices can be managed via a HomeAgent hub, which also functions as a network video recorder (NVR) that stores their footage.
UGREEN MagFlow Series: Advances cooling with faster wireless charging
While not entirely new, UGREEN’s new MagFlow series also has some novelty compared with previous chargers. It includes three wireless chargers that feature the Qi2 charging standard with up to 25W output.
The first in the new lineup is the MagFlow Pro Magnetic Power Bank 10000mAh (1), which, per UGREEN, is “the world’s first liquid-cooled Qi2 25W magnetic power bank”.
Compact enough to attach to the back of a smartphone, the power bank/charger features UGREEN’s CryoPulse Technology, which is a micro-pump that actively circulates coolant to draw heat away from key components. Additionally, it has a Cyber Window feature that makes the cooling process visible in real time. On the inside, it features Dymondcell 2.0, high-density ATL cells that deliver safety and reliability.
The second unit is the MagFlow 2-in-1 Foldable Magnetic Wireless Charger (2), which is compact yet can charge two devices simultaneously. Its foldable design allows it to work as a magnetic phone stand, making it excellent for desktop or on-the-go use.
Finally, the MagFlow Pro 3-in-1 Magnetic Wireless Charging Stand (3) is a full-size desktop charger that combines Qi2 25W charging with UGREEN CryoPulse TEC Active Cooling and an ultra-quiet 15dB fan to wirelessly charge a phone, a smartwatch, and a pair of earbuds simultaneously.
In any case, those with multiple devices that support wireless charging—popular in Apple’s iOS ecosystem—will find these MagFlow chargers useful, to say the least.
Availability
UGREEN says its new MagFlow wireless chargers are now available at $149.99 (1), $59.99 (2), and $159.99 (3), though street prices often include discounts.
The new UGREEN HomeAgent hardware is a bit more complicated.
The company says the HomeAgent HA100, HA100 Pro, and UGREEN MasterAgent MA100 will be open for pre-orders from today until October 27, when it’ll start a crowdfunding campaign. General consumers will likely have to wait until 2027 to get their hands on any of these HomeAgent hubs and AIoT devices in the ecosystem.
