The ROG USB-BE92 is ASUS’s answer to the Nighthawk A9000 from NETGEAR. Both are quick ways to add tri-band Wi-Fi 7 to a Windows computer and share the same hardware specs. In my trial, the ROG USB-BE92 has a clear advantage in ease of use and flexibility, thanks to its … Continue Reading
Looking to add Wi-Fi 7 to a Windows computer? The NETGEAR A9000 Nighthawk BE6500 WiFi 7 USB 3.0 Adapter is an easy answer. In my real-world usage, this dongle offers sustained Wi-Fi rates up to over 1.7Gbps (on the 5GHz or 6GHz band), depending on the distance, making it a … Continue Reading
If the head rings a bell, that’s because this ASUS ZenWiFi BD5 Outdoor is, well, the “outdoor” version of the standard ZenWiFi BD5 I reviewed earlier this week. Truth be told, I actually tested the two together initially, but during the process, I decided that this Outdoor unit deserved more … Continue Reading

However, it has enough for a home with Gigabit-class broadband. Here’s the bottom line: The ASUS RT-BE58U is … Continue Reading

I found this release somewhat unexpected, given that the DS224+ came out in 2024. Generally, Synology refreshes its Plus servers only when a model is at least two years … Continue Reading
Years ago, somebody asked me about my most important piece of tech and was surprised when I said it was my NAS server—the Synology DS410, to be specific—and not the iPhone I was holding. That was true then. And it’s even more so now. In fact, with the benefit of … Continue Reading
The Synology DiskStation DS1525+ network-attached storage (NAS) server, first available in the US on June 25, 2025, is arguably the best among Synology’s new and controversial 2025 releases. Here’s the bottom line: The contentious storage requirement aside, the DS1525+ is an excellent NAS server to buy today, worth its $799.99 … Continue Reading
