Today, Synology announced the availability of its second NAS server for 2025, the DiskStation DS425+, for the US market. It’s a four-bay server, similar to the DS925+ that was released earlier this month, but with lower hardware specifications and capabilities. The BeeStation Plus, Synology’s second iteration of its user-friendly approach to personal cloud storage, is an unusual network-attached storage (NAS) server. If you have used a Synology NAS server before, keep in mind that the BeeStation lineup offers a fraction of the capabilities of a standard Synology DiskStation. In return, … Continue Reading

If you ask me for the one gadget to safely put in the shopping cart right now before hitting that “buy” button as the year turns, the Synology DiskStation DS923+ (that’s DS923 Plus) would be it. Among other things, it has a novelty that delivers the best NAS performance to … Continue Reading
Synology’s latest 5-bay DiskStation DS1522+ NAS server for homes and small businesses is a silent yet significant upgrade in the lineup. While the new server is the intended replacement of its immediate previous model, the DS1520+, I will compare the design with the DS1517+ to show how it’s an (almost) complete … Continue Reading
