On January 4, 2023, ASUS unveiled its new ExpertWiFi product line. After unsurprisingly missing the initial availability target, initially set for “the first quarter of 2023, ” the networking vendor is finally shipping the ExpertWiFi EBR63 standalone router. There will soon be more hardware options, including those supporting Wi-Fi 7. … Continue Reading
It took me a while to evaluate the NETGEAR Nighthawk RS700S BE19000 Wi-Fi 7 router. The router’s actual model is RS700, as printed on its underside and shown in the mobile app and web interface. The “S” signifies that it comes with a one-year trial of NETGEAR Armor. At $699.99, … Continue Reading
The RT-BE96U is ASUS’s first Wi-Fi 7 router but far from the first of its type. Yet, it turned out to be the most exciting among its peers in my experience. It has the most to offer, including a real Wi-Fi 7 experience, though, like the rest, still lacks some … Continue Reading

Suppose you’re looking for a true multi-Gigabit … Continue Reading
It took me quite some time to finally review the Ubiquiti Dream Machine Special Edition (UDM-SE). I generally cover consumer products, and this advanced device is designed for prosumers, SMBs, or even enterprise environments. The UDM-SE was released in early 2022, around the time of the home-friendly UniFi Dream Router … Continue Reading
I have been quite excited about NETGEAR’s latest Nighthawk M6 Pro 5G Wi-Fi 6E Hotspot Router (model MR6550) since its announcement on May 10. And who wouldn’t? At a current cost of one thousand US dollars, this is the most expensive router, pound per pound. To put things in perspective, … Continue Reading
Believe it or not, the EnGenius ESG510 is only the second non-Wi-Fi router I’ve reviewed on this website. And like the Firewalla Gold, it’s a niche device designed for savvy/advanced users with a wired environment. A Wi-Fi router is a standard router with a built-in standard access point in the … Continue Reading
